Biopolo at BIO Chicago

From May 3rd to May 6, Biopolo Ticino was present at the Swiss Pavilion on the Showroom floor of the BIO International Meeting. Member companies Helsinn and Cerbios had representatives at the show and took advantage of the Swiss Pavilion as a meeting point. Cardicocentro, SUPSI  and the IRB we represented by Biopolo on the stand.

The keynote speakers (George Bush, Bill Clinton and Al Gore), the high number of visitors (15,322 from 65 countries) made the event a great success. Next year BIO will be held in Washington DC.

Biopolo Ticino at BIO International

Biopolo Ticino will be present at the BIO International meeting in Chicago from the 3rd to the 6th of May at the Swiss Pavilion together with the other regional clusters and OSEC.

This is an important opportunity to create contacts and to feel the pulse of the industry. Several Biopolo members will be present in Chicago and others have taken advantage of the Biopolo offer to represent them there.

 

 

Biopolo Ticino at the Swiss Equity Biotech Day

altBiopolo Ticino and members participated in the Swiss Equity biotech day held at the Swiss Stock Exchange yesterday 13 April 2010.

The meeting is co-organized by the Swiss Equity Magazine, Swiss Biotech Association and the Swiss Stock Exchange

Enrico Braglia presented the Senexta startup story to the audience of industry experts and investors. During the morning session the Swiss Biotech Report 2010 was presented. The Report which is a collaborative effort from the Swiss Stock Exchange, the Swiss Clusters and Ernst and Young, gave a positive outlook for the sector overall inspite of the economic downturn and relative to the rest of Europe. Featured in the Report is an article about Telormedix, a Ticino startup and Biopolo member incubatiung in the Tecnopolo in Bioggio.

2nd Lugano Stem Cell Meeting

Cardiocentro will be hosting the 2nd Lugano Stem Cell Meeting from 22-23 June 2010 in Lugano. The program covers practical topics such as Process Manufacturing and Regulation of Cell-Based Medical Products  to therapeutic studies in specific target areas.
